Frequently Asked Questions

People who want to actively participate in making the internet a safer, friendlier place will be able to sign up with Respect Pays. We will post the location of internet and social media comment sections that contain toxic speech, hate speech or cyberbullying. Participants can choose whether to direct micro-donations to charity, or receive micropayments when they go to those sites to post polite, respectful comments and replies. All posts will be reviewed before payments are authorized. 

Absolutely not! Participants decide what they want to say. We are paying them to speak their own minds politely and respectfully, without using hate speech or inciting violence.

Payment amount will vary based on how much money is available for payments, how many people are posting, and other factors. We expect payments to range from $0.25 to $1.00 per post.
